Delete Your Glim Account & Data

Last updated: July 20, 2026

This page explains how you can request deletion of your Glim account and associated personal data. The steps below apply to all users of the Glim mobile app.

Delete Your Account In-App

  1. Open the Glim app.
  2. Go to Settings → Delete My Data.
  3. Review the information shown and confirm deletion.

Once confirmed, deletion runs immediately — this is not a deactivation or a queued job. We permanently delete your account and associated data (see “What Will Be Deleted” below) and log you out right away.

Request Deletion by Email

If you can’t access the app, email us from the address linked to your Glim account:

support@glimapp.com

Include the following:

  • Your full name, if available, and the email tied to your Glim account.
  • A clear statement: “I am requesting deletion of my Glim account and associated data.”
  • Any details that help us locate your account, such as last login date or device model.

Identity Verification

For security, we may ask you to verify ownership of the account, such as by replying from the registered email address.

What Will Be Deleted

Confirming deletion permanently removes the following, in order:

  1. Any legacy face-scan diagnostic, metric, and upgrade records from Glim’s original scoring feature, if you used Glim before its appearance-simulator update.
  2. Legacy face scan records.
  3. Your Commitment Plans, including plan tasks, task completions, and your before, goal, and after Plan Photos.
  4. Your Simulator generation history and Generated Looks.
  5. Weekly usage and free-generation usage records.
  6. Your subscription records.
  7. Your notification preferences and push tokens.
  8. Your RevenueCat event history.
  9. Your profile (name, gender, and other profile fields).
  10. Finally, your account itself.

This is a full, real deletion — not a soft-delete or deactivation. Once it runs, none of the data above can be recovered.

One Thing That Is Not Deleted

Glim limits each device to one free AI-generated look, using a random Device Identifier stored in your device’s secure storage (see our Privacy Policy). When you delete your account, this Device Identifier record is not deleted — instead, we remove the link between it and your account, so it no longer identifies you. The identifier itself is kept only so that this device can’t claim another free generation by deleting the account and starting over. It is never shared with third parties and is not used for anything other than this fraud check.

What May Be Retained

  • Your unlinked Device Identifier record, as described above, retained indefinitely for free-generation fraud prevention.
  • Limited records needed for fraud prevention, security, payment records, or legal obligations, retained only for as long as required.
  • Anonymous or aggregated analytics that no longer identify you.

How Long Deletion Takes

Deletion runs immediately when you confirm it in-app or when we process an email request — your account and the data listed above are removed right away, not queued for a later batch job. Any residual copies in routine system backups age out on our normal backup rotation schedule.

Third-Party Services

Where applicable, we will also request deletion or anonymization from third-party services used for app functionality, analytics, storage, payments, or AI processing. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

Deletion is Permanent

Account deletion is irreversible. After completion, your account, Generated Looks, and Commitment Plan history cannot be recovered.
